Hiking

Whether you are an experienced hiker or just looking for a nice walk in nature – you’ll find many options in Conroe.

You will find the Lone Star Hiking Trail in the Sam Houston National Forest.  This 128-mile trail offers a great way to enjoy the forest and its beauty! Break it up into short day hikes – or challenge yourself with the entire trail by camping along the way.

In the WG Jones State Forest, you’ll find numerous trailheads that will allow you shorter hikes in one of the largest working urban forests in the nation.

Or if you are looking for a more urban environment, check out the Walking Downtown Conroe Historical Tour or enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Texas Flag Park and Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park.
