What Flies in Conroe

Of the 338 species of birds listed as Nearctic-Neotropical migrants in North America, 333 of them have been recorded in Texas and with Conroe’s location at the convergence of the Central and Mississippi Flyways, you’re sure to spot a few. Bird from land or lake. From fall to spring, the waters of 22,000 acre Lake Conroe are home to these as well as Bald Eagle and Osprey with Red-breasted Nuthatch and Winter Wrens taking up residence along the shores.
