Casting for Casey

Date: Sept 21, 2019
CASTING FOR CASEY is a FREE fishing event in memory of Casey Alexander, held for families with special needs. Here they can learn water safety (Judah Brown Project) angler safety and etiquette, knot tying, fish identification, how to cast, how to fish, and experience trophy Catfish up close and personal before observing a tagging demonstration and safe release of the fish.

All fishing equipment will be provided by Texas Trophy Catfish Association, and bait by Catfish Bubblegum and Bradley's Bite Enhancer.

Our volunteers are Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Certified Angler Education Instructors ready to help you form lifelong memories! First Aid will be on site. Volunteer medical staff will also be on standby in case of an emergency. (Walden has built a ramp and is now ADA accessible, and a changing room will be available. Music will be at a medium volume. Be aware a megaphone will be used for instruction. Earplugs will be available to those in need.)

This event will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 10am-2pm at Safe Harbor Walden Marina. 12050 Melville Dr. Montgomery, Texas 77356
